If you were a patriotic soldier,
A soldier may be ―
a student,
a sangha,
a people.
If you were a democratic soldier,
A soldier means ―
not a slave,
not a butcher,
not a traitor.
Including you ―
We, the freedom fighters
Including you ―
We, the democracy lovers
Including you ―
We, the peace makers
Let's join hands to build a government ―
of the people,
for the people,
by the people.
Oh! my soldier brother(s)
Urgently, you find your way to ―
save the people,
love the people,
protect the people.

တကယ္လို႔ မင္းဟာ စစ္သားေကာင္းတေယာက္ ျဖစ္မယ္ဆိုရင္ ―
မင္း စိတ္ထဲမွာ
မင္း ရင္ထဲမွာ
မင္း ႏွလံုးသားထဲမွာ
စစ္သားတေယာက္ဟာ စစ္သားတေယာက္ သက္သက္မဟုတ္ေတာ့ဘူး။

တကယ္လို႔ ညီေလးဟာ မ်ဳိးခ်စ္ရဲေဘာ္တဦး ျဖစ္မယ္ဆိုရင္ ―
စစ္သားတေယာက္ဟာ
ေက်ာင္းသားတေယာက္
ဒါမွမဟုတ္ သံဃာတပါး
ဒါမွမဟုတ္ ျပည္သူတဦးလည္း ျဖစ္ႏိုင္တာပဲ။

တကယ္လို႔ ငါ့ညီဟာ ဒီမိုကေရစီဘက္သား စစ္သည္ေတာ္တပါး ျဖစ္မယ္ဆိုရင္ ―
စစ္သားတေယာက္ရဲ႕ အဓိပၸါယ္မွာ မင္းဟာ
ကြၽန္တေယာက္ မဟုတ္သလို
သားသတ္သမားလည္း မဟုတ္ဘူး
ထို႔အတူ သစၥာေဖာက္လည္း မဟုတ္ဘူးေပါ့။

မင္း အပါအ၀င္
တို႔ လြတ္လပ္မႈအတြက္ တိုက္ပြဲ၀င္သူေတြ
မင္း အပါအ၀င္
တို႔ ဒီမိုကေရစီ ျမတ္ႏိုးသူေတြ
မင္း အပါအ၀င္
တို႔ ၿငိမ္းခ်မ္းေရး ႀကိဳးပမ္းသူေတြ

တို႔အားလံုး လက္ခ်င္းခ်ိတ္ၿပီး အစိုးရတရပ္ ―
ျပည္သူ႕အတြက္ ျပည္သူက ေ႐ြးခ်ယ္တင္ေျမႇာက္တဲ့
အဲဒီလို ျပည္သူ႕အစိုးရတရပ္
တို႔ တည္ေဆာက္ၾကရေအာင္။

ကဲ … ညီေမာင္ စစ္သည္အေပါင္းတို႔
အခ်ိန္မဆိုင္းဘဲ နည္းလမ္းရွာၾကံၿပီး
ျပည္သူေတြကို ကယ္တင္ၾကေလာ့ ―
ျပည္သူေတြကို ခ်စ္ၾကေလာ့ ―
ျပည္္သူေတြကို ကာကြယ္ေစာင့္ေရွာက္ၾကပါေလာ့ ― ။ ။
